hitler was the allies best friend. His idiocy from Stalingrad to the Ardennes offensive to the destruction of Army Group Centre by the Soviets can be directly attributed to hitler stupidism.

Stauffenburg had only time to prpare one of two time-delay bombs, and so only put the one active bomb in the briefcase. He SHOULD have added the other one anyway, which would have been set-off by the first. A terrible error. But a successful assassination & transfer of power also depended on the coordinated disarming of Berlin's SS Garrison before the army could replace Hitler & Headquarter's Staff with other pro-Nazi fanatics.
