@Wolfpelt37 this comment wasnt supposed to be rude im just saying, with my expierience with stubborn horses (hehe) that at moments you do need to be kindof hard but at most times soothing noises and soothing "tugging" helps alot too =]

@MsXxhorsecrazyxX sigh... That was just how we were taught at that place... And I've seen many horseback riders do the same thing at a breed show on a class trip. I know you meant well and I'm not angry or "trolling" I just see this comment quite a bit. The instructor, Hank, also the owner of the horses, taught us to pull gently on the horse's mouth with the reigns in order to turn. But I do like the idea... And I really don't think the horses there would cooperate, they're kinda stubborn

All of the riders there are very harsh on their horse's mouths.. Make sure u are easy because sometimes pulling and tugging makes the situations worse. Try looking where u want to go and simple "kissy" noises, and gently squeezing with your inner leg. It is alot more effective than tugging on their mouths.
who were you riding?

@iroxmysoxofflol67 I was riding Sam, which is the buckskin. My friend Wolfpelt37 is riding Maya, (The one in back), and the other girl in my group is riding Dante, which is the white one. (:
