This video was created by Thierry Schiel. He recorded himself working on a painting of Avatar using KiwiPixel's Inspire Pro app on his iPad 2.

The painting took about 4 hours to finish, the first 3 hours were recorded, the last hour was spent polishing the painting and was not recorded. The video is sped up at different speeds and is not continuous. Certain parts of the video are skipped ahead and others are slowed down a bit to get a better sense of the techniques Thierry used to create this stunning piece of work!

Thierry used a picture from the movie as a reference, but he completed the painting entirely from scratch, as you can clearly see in the video.
