Buenos Aires City 1

Buenos Aires is the capital and largest city of Argentina. Buenos Aires city is located within the Province of Buenos Aires on the southern shore of the Río de la Plata, on the southeastern coast of the South American continent, but is not the capital of the province, nor even part of it. Greater Buenos Aires is the third largest conurbation in Latin America, with a population of about 13 million.

After the internal conflicts of the 19th century, Buenos Aires was federalised and removed from Buenos Aires Province in 1880. The city limits were enlarged to include the former towns of Belgrano and Flores, which are both now neighbourhoods of the city.

Buenos Aires (English: Fair Winds or Good Air (see Names of Buenos Aires), pronounced [ˈbwe.nɔs ˈaj.ɾɛs]) was originally named after the sanctuary of "Nostra Signora di Bonaria"[citation needed] (Italian for "Our Lady of Fair Winds", also known as "Virgine de Bonaria") in Cagliari, Sardinia. In the 1994 constitution the city became autonomous, hence its formal name: Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.

People from Buenos Aires are called porteños (people of the port).

@ReN3gado Depende que te guste! si tenes mucho tiempo.. bueno lo primero por supuesto la capital: "Buenos Aires" - puerto madero, recoleta, palermo, etc.. Si te gustan las montañas: Córdoba: villa Carlos paz, mina clavero, gral belgrano, la cumbrecita,etc.. Tambien por supuesto los glacieres y la cataratas del iguazó!

On t.v in Ireland we always see places like London, New York, Paris, L.A, Beijing. But we never see much of south america. Buenos Aires is the best i have seen, its like opening a gift you forgot about. Wish it was closer.

Soy chilena.. y digo que Argentina es hermoso, fui de vacaciones, y me enamoré de él... La gente muy simpática y bella, aquí yo con mi madre y hermanas quedamos enamoradas de los jóvenes todos muy hermosos, fue un gran regalo ir a Argentina n.n es hermoso... Y es un gran país para pasar las vacaciones.. Saludos n_n

@teleochocordoba mall, cordoba y villa carlos paz hay CIERRAS, si queres montañas podes ir a bariloche, san juan, mendoza, calafate, villa la angostura etc ..
