Apparent Hit and Run on Freeway I-880

This video was recorded on Northbound Freeway I-880 right before the Marina Blvd. off ramp at 7:40 a.m. on March 10, 2011. It appears that the red car has rear-ended the black pick-up truck. The truck pulls over to the shoulder. The red car starts to pull over to the shoulder and then drives away. I didn't realize what had happened until later otherwise I would have stopped and let the owner of the truck know about this video. If you know the owner of the truck tell him/her to file a report with the CHP in Hayward. This video was recorded with a VC-250 Dash Cam.

Just a suggestion:

Put the SCRIM (Shape, i.e., sedan, hatchback, pickup, semi, etc., Color, Registration, Identifying marks/accessories, Make & Model) in tags and description.

Also add registration numbers to title then go to CHP and fill out a witness statement with video copy.

I would send in the video to CHP. You can clearly read the license plate.

some people are just stupid! awesome you had on tape but sucks you didnt know it was an accident cause im sure that would of helped truck if there was damage which i dont think the truck would have! good you werent following close!
