As Gerolymatos states Albanians are not culturally chauvinists... On the opposite, Albanians are proud that the Albanians and Arvanites contributed in the Greek Revolution, that this dance of death of ALBANIAN SULIOT WOMEN is performed with pride on the day of the Greek Revolution and we are proud that Albanian Fustanella is now a symbol of the Greek Revolution.

@UnFaithFull01 When you go to Greece you nowhere see any monument(of modern Greece not the ancient) that are made in Greek Style.

Greece became a brothel,where everyone goes and does what he wants..

Thats what we,the Greeks,dont like.

We want our Hellas back.

We want our Gods and our Traditions.

We want the greek culture back.

We want everything that is greek.

So thats my answer

I know what history we have.

In the greek war of indepence in 1821 the arvanites (albanians) were fighting with the greeks..the same did the sulliotes..

I dont hate albanians,I just love my homeland more than yours.

We shout about albanians because there are over 2.000.000 in Greece,while Greece can feed not over 500.000 .

nobody made them to feel greek..

they have just been hellenized..

they lived with the greeks together and became one of them..

@Tolisakis97 In this case some of them contributed to the creation of the Greek state. I am not jealous. I am actually happy for the fact that they were able to survive and live in peace with a neighboring population... However what i don't like is the fact that they have embraced an identity that is not their own. I don't know if they chose to erase it from their memory, or they were forced to do so. What i know is that people without identity are NOTHING in this world.

@alboss13 Just to explain a few basics on the topic" Albanian were always divided among each other and that was their problem. Albanians lived in at least 50% of the now days Greek territory.. They were good fighters and got a good reputation at the time. I am not talking just about Suliots and Arvanitas..I am talking about all Albanians in General. They failed to create an organized society including all Albanian elements in the region. They were either selfish or politically ignorant.

there were SOME arvanites...not all of them were arvanites..

the most of them were greeks...

and something more..

i know someone whose ancestor was Marco Botsari(i guess you know him) and he says that the arvanites have always been greek..

look how much they have been hellenized..

so if you hate greeks..then hate also the arvanites,sulliotes etc.. because they are also greeks..
