My daddy is one amazing man. His mother died before he was two, he was raised like a dog because he had no one to care for him. His father farmed him out to work on farms when he was five untill he took his fathers job on the RR at 16, at 21 he went to work for the WPA, the CCC camps to earn money for his father and than he went to war. He escaped death many times and saved the lives of other men countless times including taking out a German sniper which earned him the bronze star one of many medals he earned fifty years after the war because he was in a prison war camp in Germany. He was wounded when captured and starved he lost from 173 pounds to 98 pounds. He later married my mother became a local businessman, and an outstanding father. I an honored to be his daughter.
Thanks, yes, he is one amazing man, I am much honored to call him father. I asked my sister if we were poor and she said yes dirt poor. I said, I do not agree. Daddy may never have owned a new car but he always had a car free and clear. He built his own house & owns land. He has never been in debit to any one to this day. He never owned a credit card & never took welfare, we were never hungry and always had nice clothes. Not many men can say this; I think he is a very rich man.
