People might think that you should raise your hands twice, and say Allahu Akbar in the second time. You only do "Takbeerat Al Ihram" once. The man was "maybe" doing some duaas before starting the prayer, which is totally optional.

@azekegame In that particular moment, you can make whatever duaa you want. "Is it permissible ?" Yes ! It's not forbidden !

sorry, but i am reciting as "Rabana attina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil akhirati hasanatan wakina ghazappanar birakhmatika ia arkhamar-rakhimin" before saying salam for both sides. is it permissible?

@azekegame well its permissible to read that , but the most authentic dua is (Allahmu inne awazo bika min azabil qabar wa min azabi jahanam wa min fitnatil mahya wal mamaat wa min fitnatil masihe dajjal ) and except these there are many more duaz that u can read ..
