  • hahaha... this reminded me of Jack from Tekken :P

  • i use this all the time. No body expects it. I don't even have to raise him. just drive your chin in the shoulder and put your hands lower in his back and you already have the full control of his body

  • @Luciffrit This technique is a pretty standard move in a lot of styles. All of the defenses you suggested sound great in theory until you realize that when your opponent locks you up like that, he doesn't intend to lollygag around. He's looking to slam you immediately.

The important thing to remember when defending this technique is to separate your hips away from his as much as possible. At that point you'll be in a much better position to avoid being slammed and break his grip.

  • That is so risky... A knee to the balls, elbow to the face, choke-hold.... hell a punch or kick to the sternum since you go down so low.

Personally just hug his head and twist, he'll get off you in a hurry.

  • @spritsengiggle Eh, which comment of mine did you respond to?

  • @ThePinkMan Yes, against an 80 year old lady with impaired motor skills. :3

  • Morote gari works better every time : )

  • woah its the aggresive rape move :D

  • @fujrts That's a pretty accurate assessment of the technique. Another way to categorize it is as a "JV move" or a "junk move."

If you do it well, though, it's still going to be effective against someone who isn't a wrestler. Especially when your opponent is standing erect as opposed to standing in a wrestling stance.

  • this is called a bear hug and in the wrestling world we call it a "middle school move." because you will never effectively execute this on anyone more skilled than a middle schooler.
