I wish the song had been cut like this: Toby Keith starts the song, then Reba McIntyre comes in after TK sings "priarie Sooners right into outer space."
Garth Brooks would join her on the chorus.
Vince Gill and Carrie Underwood trade lines on verse two, and on the second chorus Underwood and Keith sing lead. On the final chorus, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood all lift up their voices for the Sooner State.

I went to college in Oklahoma. Left part of my heart there is 1969.

I moved to this state on May 13, 2008 and I love it. The people here are great and I have much respect for them and on top of that, a lot of the transplants like me seem to fall in love with this state also. After moving here, I see why Oklahomans are proud of their own state. Too many people bad mouth Oklahoma and they have never set foot on this land. Oklahoma is more than "OK'.
