By Kylie Morris:
"In the bible there were seven, but the Pope has decided that isn't enough. More4 takes a look at the new deadly sins.
To err is human, to forgive divine - unless you're Catholic, when forgiveness only comes after the process of confession.
The Catholic church's seven deadly sins have been largely of an individual's making.
But the modern offerings by the Vatican - which could find some of us writhing in the pits of hellfire - are of a more social nature.
Lacking the simple ring that made the old sins such great literary fodder, the up-to-date edition takes into account the effects of globalisation.
There's now - * drug abuse * genetic manipulation * morally debatable experiments * environmental pollution * social inequalities and social injustice * causing poverty * accumulating excessive wealth
Perhaps the Vatican decided it was time for a change of sins following a recent survey that said that 60 per cent of Italian Catholics did not go to confession. Some priest have welcomed it."
Actually the Pope and his church were against the Iraq war. I'm pretty sure they're against any war. But that didn't get much press in the USA.

I just love the how the Catholic Church changes up the dogma every now and again.

Ridiculous! Laughable! Chirstianity is bullshit! Who needs any religion!`one person telling another what to do & how to behave`. Look back over history and see what destruction Christianity caused in Africa etc. It`s all about money, power, control ! Why hasn`t the Vactian spoken out againist the war in Iraq? 70% of Iraqi`s want US troops out. Mamkind has always been it`s own worst enemy and that`s never going to change. So U can hang on to your new sins,ha! I`m fine. Bush,U are pure evil!!

God changed his mind, the Pope changed his mind . . . what's the difference anyway . . . it's all a matter of perception, I would say. The Pope thinks that God is complaining and . . .
