David Kroodsma of Ride for Climate (rideforclimate.com) takes a tour at a Smart and electric car dealership in Bozeman Montana. The Smart cars get 40 to 60 mpg, and the electric car an equivalent of 240 mpg. For the majority of trips that most people take in cars, these cars are plenty sufficient.

Also, I just heard that there is a diesel version of the Mini-Cooper that gets about 65 miles per gallon! The other thing I love about small cars (aside from the efficiency) is that they help to resolve some of the land-use issues associated with large cars. They are easy to park, etc.

Hey guys, love the video. I've been hearing a lot about the Smart car and other smaller cars. I'm glad you guys put this video out, especially the part about electric cars. There is a company called Hybrid Technologies that claims it can sell an electric version of the Smart car and also the Mini-Cooper for about 40,000, and get a range of 120-150 miles

Smart seems like an oxymorronic name,

I sure dont have a death wish to even consider driving one of this sardine cans,than you

and the salesmans jive about steel roll bar cage certaintly doesnt impress me,none

why dont they show how well it does in a front and side crash testing at 5o mph,or so,

like they do with every other car.

I guess even the crash test dummies were to scared to try that one eh?lol
