This was a sad time in our people history, but let this be a lesson for us. Let us come closer as a people. Don't think of our self as Khmer Krom, Khmer Surin,  Khmer Ler, but Just Khmer. where ever we are let us help one another. Look at the Great Angkor Wat, and see what we as a people built, when we come together.

@jaejaegirl12 exactly..because of selfishness. they knew about it. a french priest was living in cambodia before and during the khmer rouge formed. he went back to france and wrote a book and told reporters/journalist about what was going on. but no one believed him. it also reached out to the united states. jim carter who was president at the time, signed a treaty that they would never allow a genocide to happen again. but apparently, they didn't even step foot there until the vietnam war.
