Great interview with Roger from the "Bob Co... Show"!

He plays a chunk of "Turn! Turn! Turn!", and "The Ballad Of Easy Rider" on a beautiful Guild Jumbo.

  • One of the most valuable interviews on YT, especially for fans of the Byrds and Roger McGuinn. This is prime history for those who lived through the Sixties, and Roger reveals his unique perspective with obvious, musically intelligent enthusiasm for the times and the journey.

  • wow ! crosby has some bozo shit happening - nice mullet on McGuin

  • Egyszerűen gyönyörű ez a szám!!!!

  • Great interview thanks 4 posting. Great Timeless Band!

  • Interesting that he mentioned Harrison's "If I Needed Someone", and later on RM would record his own version of that song on his "Limited Edition" recording. A great song!

(The Hollies also recorded it not long after the Beatles did, at Harrison's request...)

  • His story about 8 miles being not a drug song, is utter rubbish "made for TV". It has been confirmed time and time again it was influenced by psychedelics. C'mon Rog..why so P.C.?

  • yeh ...

    know what you mean...

i'd explain why i used to get mixed up but i haven't enough characters to use :/

  • Oh no, I thought the far left was Roger (because of the hair/glasses).

Upon further inspection I see it's Neil

  • no... that's CSNY.

    L-R:

    Neil Young

    David Crosby

    Stephen Stills

    Graham Nash

hope this helps.... for some reason i always used to get Crosby, Clarke and McGuinn mixed up on the Greatest Hits album cover...

  • Whoa whoa whoa

Is that Roger McGuinn wish Crosby Stills and Nash at 1:15 ?

  • McGuinn can be heard performing in lounge in Reno or is it Elko, Nevada

  • I agree with everything LordRufus said plus it's great to finally hear the story behind "Eight Miles High".

  • Thankyou so much for posting this interview. I especially like the footage of the R&R Hall Of Fame ceremony. It's funny. Nowadays most inductees just give their speech and let somebody else play their songs which makes for kind of a boring ceremony. But The Byrds despite all of the tension between the members got up and performed and showed just why exactly they were being inducted in the first place.
