Those Cole Porter tunes have got strange chord progressions and melodies. I played the piano score for the musical "Cole" at Indiana University back in the mid 1980's and I had a difficult time getting through it. That musical ran a couple of weeks. Garrett Cope produced that production and he really did a good job on it. Jazz changes seem to follow more logical patterns. I have got to give Bobby Short his props on that.
