everything has been said , only kubrick added some more seconds at the very end of his film ....;

this ending is really amazing... But I think fricsay version is better than this one for a lot of aspects.

Raw genius. This is the best four minutes you will ever hear, musically speaking.

Glorious German Orchestral Conductor Wilhelm Furtwangler @ his finest! Gives powerful & beautiful intrinsic meaning to human Genius Ludwig van Beethoven's choral work, transcending human imperfection!

I´m very interested in historical recordings and this is really a wonderful performance. Thank you for uploading such a beautiful material.

I can't agree more. It's amazing! I feel as if I cannot catch my breath. I get the sense that Beethoven was building everything up to the finale of the finale: that the rest of the piece is outstanding, but this part is unimaginable

The finale of the finale always gives terrible goosebumps.

Furtwangler at his greatest. There is a video on YouTube of this performance of this finale, which adds immeasurably to the enjoyment.
