@sailorz7 alright well thanks anyway. I'm only sailing on a small lake with little to no waves most of the time so I'll use the suction cup and tie it on as well. If it falls off, it falls off. Thanks for your time though.

@sailorz7 ok thanks. It's just i want to attach the GoPro to the bow of my laser but was told it wouldn't work. Thanks for enlightening me.

@OneEagerBeaver it works perfectly!!! I applied it when it was dry... it was blowing over 20mph, and I banged it around a bit with my tiller extension... it was totally fine

hmmm ok :/ I don't want to use a sticky adhesive mount you see as the laser belongs to the sailing club. Can you think of any other mounts I could use? Possibly even blue tac?

@OneEagerBeaver okay here are some options... not blue tac! You can buy the tripod mount, drill a small hole in the blue handle on the front of the laser, and mount it there with a bolt. this is probably the best option... check out this vid: watch?v=WgLOt4aFqAE

@sailorz7 yeah but as I said it's not my boat. I just sail it, it belongs to my sailing club

@OneEagerBeaver I just figured it was a small enough hole haha! every other attachment option is very risky!

@sailorz7 did the gopro mount stay on easily when you were sailing because apparently the suction cup works badly when wet

@OneEagerBeaver oh that definitely wont work... the laser isn't smooth... it has some "non-slip" decking on it
