@greenjack1959l The disrespect and abuse of livestock is one of the things i detest most about the industry, when people eat shop bought meat products their money goes towards supporting this regime. I am a payed up member of "Compassion in world farming" that demand animals be treated ethically ( even though i consume no farm produce myself apart from cheese). They brought about the ban on battery hens, comes out next year i believe, respect the soil and all life that walk on it .

@permaveg indeed they can, I actually understand your reasons for not eating meat and I respect them, all I ask is that other people would respect mine, and Morrissey clearly respects no ones beliefs except his own,
but a non meat eating society will never happen I,m afraid, people have eaten it since they have been people, and before that, what makes us human is the awareness that they desrve respect and compassion up to and including the time of slaughter,
