it doesnt help that a majority of black youth tend to uplift these poor animalistic stereotypes just because of the media's propaganda. thus making it even harder for repsectful and educated black youth achieve in a world bound to prejudice. what most black people dont know its that they are a joke to the rest of the world. Blacks are so easy to abuse of and the hate towards blacks is green-lighted because of the poor views on them, embraced by them.

@keshawn888 Up to about age 11, 5 years ago, I just listened to whatever was on the radio but at 11 I discovered Rage Against the Machine. I got interested in both rock and rap through them - also politics. So when I heard Immortal Technique the first time around, it was partly the rap, but mostly the politics that got me interested. Now I listen to Tupac and Ice Cube too, but for wholly different reasons than say, Dead Prez.

I haven't recorded anything yet but me and a friend rap, political.

@keshawn888 I listen to electronic music too. Maybe you've heard Crystal Castles, I think they're fantastic. Also, check out the Swedish act Slagsmålsklubben.

Of course the bitches and hoes is a turn off, so logically I stay away from the bitches and hoes part. I'm disgusted by artists like Lil Jon etc, but when I sit down and listen to Brother Ali, it's magic. Here's where there's a disconnect, because even if they're both rap, they don't have anything in common. That's just generalisation.

You really want to know what I'm into? lol Most people pause and zone out for a minute like "wtf is that?" when they hear some of the music I listen too.

I'm a fan of house, techno and some old school songs....Yeah, I understand "rhyming to a rhythm" being apart of rap but when I hear some rappers constantly "rhyming" about 'guns, pussy, niggas, bitches and hoes' all the time, thats a major TURN OFF!

@keshawn888 So what are you into? I mean, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix - I'm their biggest fan but there is so much depth and philosophy to find in rap music and hip hop culture. Do you just don't like rhyming to a rhythm? Because that is all that rap means. It can be used for so many thing, both beneficially and straight up malevolently affecting culture.
