After he'd finished with all the twistin', limboing, flying and mashed potatoing, Chubby came along with this great sound that was actually issued as a B side over here in the UK. It went on to be a big sound in the soul discos of the late sixties and early seventies. Always a floor-filler, so bounce around with Chubby to this one.

@danbennerdotcom Same here. I thought it was tribal, too. A substitute teacher played it for us in music class in 1980 or so and I've had it in my head ever since.

I havent heard this since 3rd grade. We learned it in the 70s but I thought it was some tribal song, not Chubby Checker.

Great song. brings back memories. I used to play this at 'The Pelican' in Warboys, Cambridgeshire. We used to play a lot of rarities, most of which are now known as Northern soul. Great stuff
