As a life long listener and person who appreciates music, Aquil grew up in a family full of music lovers. Uncles and aunts kept hundreds of records in his grandmother's basement that he would listen to and grow to love. Born in the 80s, Aquil grew up on many of the legendary 90s artist and groups such as Kool G Rap, Ice Cube, Nas, Biggie, Wutang, De La Soul, Tribe, Jay-Z, Redman, etc. Aquil has the lyrcisim that reminds many of that era. Aquil has just completed his first mixtape Blues People, which has gotten great reviews and will be the first of many projects to be released, including his up and coming album due for release next spring.

I have this album and I must say he sounds really good, none of the main stream garbage that is played every day.
