I first encountered WLC in a debate with Antony Flew; I've taken my clips from the videos, which start with this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=maoGItxwTTA

WLC is an odd one. Read his Wikipedia entry and you form the impression of some minor deity fallen to earth for the purposes of theological instruction. Then, upon seeing him speak, you realise two things: he's a more than usually convincing orator with a soothing voice (in fact his arguments tend to be presented practically identically in different circumstances), and his logic is as fallacious as that of any less loquacious Christboys. In fact he is, in at least some senses, totally batshit. His primary evidence for God is his own personal witness of the holy spirit, and even if proof arises against his belief (which to my thinking it already has) he doesn't think it matters. That is the mark of a profoundly broken mind. Bear in mind the proofs he's given are not what convinced him in the first place.

This time - Craig utterly fails to prove that objective moral values exist.

  • Finally someone who understands that the true genius of WLC comes not from his arguments, but from his hand gesticulations! Notice how he zooms into craigs arms on the key pivotal moments in his speech. Truly a master of discourse and reason!

  • @scar504 I think you'll find my refutations stand equally however I edit the footage.

  • Great video, I think you could add to your debunking of this Dr. Craig, He uses a FALSE DICHOTOMY, he only takes two options of a two variables question, a)If god exists then o.m. exists. b)If god doesn´t exist o.m. doesn't either. But he totally ignored other two posibilities: c) God exists and NO o.m. exists, and d) God doesn't exist and O.M. does exist.

  • >asserting objective values don't exist

Not convinced. The majority of philosophers side with moral realism, even though almost all philosophers are atheist. Why on earth would objective values need God? Objective mathematical truth doesn't.

  • @squidward10tacles Yeah, I'd have to say this syllogism is a load of crap. He never gives any decent argument for the validity of his second premise ("objective morals exist") other than "there just obvious to us". Obvious to whom? The psychopath? What about Hitler?

Feelings are definitionally subjective. He can only assume "God exists" to establish his second premise before he even proves his existence. It's begging the question.

  • Logicians, Make Craig Eat Shit!!!!

  • Christian concerns over life, the unborn, and morals are delusional & unwarranted. None of them ever quote OT scriptures that have God committing infanticide, or that expose the contempt in which the bible has for non-Jews, & especially women and children. God ordered the sexual slavery of women, and the murder of children, including the unborn. Christian arguments of the value of human life based on the bible are not supported by the majority of the contents of this book that is based on myths.

  • And,with God absolute wrong ,and right does exist because anything God does is right even if its wrong. I think i got a headache.
