Climbing stairs can be challenging for most small children, but the task is even more difficult for 4-year-old Manalemo McDowell.

Manalemo, whose nickname is "Mo," was born with cerebral palsy. He received few services for his disability at the orphanage where he lived in Ethiopia, his native country, and had limits using his left arm when he was adopted by Jason and Amy McDowell last spring.
