North Korean people's choir, featuring posters and revolutionary art from the DPRK. 60 years ago today the forces of Western imperialism led by the U.S planned to invade Korea, after most of the country was already under the control of the North's Korean People's Army. Yet the ROK forces in the South led by U.S-backed dictator Syngman Rhee had already murdered an estimated million dissidents, prisoners, political opponents, and 'suspected leftists' (Bodo League massacre) under U.N and U.S/Western supervision before the break out of the civil war. In the brutal crushing of the Jeju uprising in a small South Korean island, over 30,000 people were massacred by ROK forces (10% of the population).

The U.S invasion of Korea, North and South, claimed the lives of an estimated 3 million Korean civilians the bodies of whom were the foundation for the unjust and brutal post-war division of their peaceful country Korea, a small peninsula nation which fell victim to some of the most ferocious bombing in human history. U.S air forces stopped at nothing in their relentless assault on Korean lands, using napalm, fragmentation, cluster, and high-explosive bombs resulting in a
wave of misery and desperation among the civilian population caught in the middle of the war.

While it remains true the present day economy of North Korea is in a comparatively miserable state, but the contribution of the U.S, embargo, sanctions, blockade, isolation and aggression against the North cannot be overlooked in examining the sad state that Korea has been locked in for the past half century. The world must stand united against recent U.S and foreign threats against the North Koreans, and the criminal sanctions imposed which have no effect on the regime, and only cause innocent people to suffer. Today the U.S continues to station tens of thousands of soldiers in South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. Despite this, for 60 years North Korea has bravely resisted U.S imperialism and will continue to stand as a bulwark against imperialist aggression and intervention in Manchuria and North East Asia as a whole.

Long live our great comrades in the People's Republic of China, Dem. People's Republic of Korea, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam !

The two most abundant things in this universe are Hydrogen and Stupidity, LOL :-D

  • I'm not sure if the DPRK, with the members of government growing fat whilst the general populace starves, is an adequate example of the "class-less society where all are equal and all things are in abundance."

  • @Sepheroth66 Long live socialism !!!! the great CCCP for ever !!! Now is time to take back our place in world... capitalism is crumbling before our own eyes...
