  • It's pretty sad that this nations government doesn't respect someone who provides a huge service to the public. When pharmacy dies from lack of payment for the cost of goods sold, all we'll have left is mail order. Been there, done that. It's AWFUL and I don't want to go back. Help support our pharmacists and their drug stores both big and small.

  • Just another case of our government trying to cut community pharmacist, and other businesses without knowing what professional pharmacists provide. Its is just not the "medicine" Its service you cant get in the mail!!!!!!

  • If the government refuses to change this, there will be disruption- if not total chaos- in our healthcare system. It will be a nightmare for folks on medicare, as well as for all of those that are put out of work by the "law"! How ironic that none of the American citizens know anything about this absurd law. There is NO EXCUSE for it- except for the love of MONEY by our "leaders"! If the public knew what was going on, all hell would break loose.

  • Its really true! I'm a chain pharmacist, but its going to close more than independents! Chains will also have to cut back. Less stores, less staffing, reduced hours. The intercity stores will really be affected. So poorer people will be in a crunch. no busness can operate by selling way below cost. What will happen is many pharmacies will refuse to participate in the program, and therefore will have to close shop.

  • PITIFUL that the federal govt doesn't give a damn about the very folks that voted them into office. It's absurd to enforce a regulation/law that REQUIRES a pharmacy, OR ANY BUSINESS, TO OPERATE BELOW COST! This is just plain WRONG! As we say in the South- That dog won't hunt".

When pharmacies close, patients lose access to much needed health care.

PLEASE BE THERE FOR YOUR LOCAL PHARMACISTS- we have been there for you!
