Mike,
The Tod Engine Heritage Park in Youngstown, Ohio has a project that we want you to help with. We found a 108 year old stationary steam engine in a steel mill, and next year we will most likely be dismantling and moving that engine to our industrial museum. All of the physical dismantling work will be performed by our volunteers, and I would like for you to come to Ohio and volunteer along with us as we save this piece of America's industrial heritage. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity as these engines are just about extinct and this is probably the largest unpreserved steam engine in the US. If interested in our project please contact me and we can discuss it further. Thanks

  • There are no videos of this engine in operation. It probably hasn't operated in over fifty years. I would suspect that the engine is seized up, and part of our restoration will be freeing up and rebuilding any worn out parts. This engine will be set up to run on steam at the Tod Engine Heritage Park. We do not have a boiler large enough to use, but that may come in the future.
