The artwork was done by one of the unheralded 'geniuses' of the craft:Harry Lucey (As a pal of mine opined, he was the David Lean of comics)
Started out at what was then MLJ (before being named "Archie" comics) Lucey did some 'serious drama' work before he did the teen humour for the company.
He contracted ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and later succumbed to cancer in the 80's.
Lucey,along with Jack Kirby & Marty Taras,was one of my biggest inspirations & influences.
