Is he the one who teached Jackson his moonwalk?
-
I wonder, will I be able to do mime walk in high heels? Has somebody tried?
-
@docesjr Marcel Marcaeu used moonwalking in the 40s and later on in his career. A jazz musician named Cab Calloway did a similar step to the moonwalk in the 30s. You can't really tell where these things are coming from, people way back then came up with stuff from different areas that you can't really tell for sure who originated something or where something originated. Search Cab Calloway.

OKAY! people please! the Moonwalk was a break dancing/pop and lock move It actually was called the backslide. THIS is what they would call the airwalk which is the one Michael does in place and Mj would do a robotic version of this at times too. THIS is NOT Mj's moonwalk as we know it because you remain stationary and yes he did work with Marcel to make ALL of his dance moves look lighter! Mj intertwined everything which is why he was such a genius. My God stop arguing about this! Geez!!!
yea well the moonwalk was created by Marcel Marceau, who was a very famous french mime. atleast it is to my knowledge

Yes. Tony gives credit to Marceau (who he studied under) as well as Etienne Decroix (Marceau's teacher) on the DVD course. This is no way detracts from the value of Tony's excellent teaching or Tony's accomplishments as a mime.
