  • I thought Kakilambe was a teniary (am I spelling that right?) rhythm? You know, 6/8 feel? This sounds like Macru...weird. Either these folks know something we all don't or else they got the name wrong. And Macru is usually played as a transition rhythm from Jankadi. Anyway, I lovetheir spirit! I love seeing women playing drums. Makes me feel like there is something us men have forgotten in our pride and ego-driven culture. They are enjoying themselves without posturing or posing. Free spirits!

  • Love seeing the woman drummers!!!! wooHoo! hi-5 from Guinea Gbe! (An all woman west african drum group)

  • Please stop! Do not disrespect the culture. Our people have worked to hard to overcome, this has set us back 312 years.

  • Lol, not kakilambe at all.

  • i entered "ganaan drums" and ended up with only white performers, LOL background dancers.

ps r there any black folks attending?

  • your right

  • This is not kakilambe. It is Makru with kakilambe vocals.
