Submarine Ring of Fire 2006: Amazing Daikoku Tonguefish

A dense group of tonguefish on the sedimented seafloor at Daikoku. The fish are more active than they appear at first glance. The Jason ROV is operated by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution as part of the National Deep Submergence Facility which is jointly funded by the National Science Foundation, the Office of Naval Research and the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration.
