Don't panic - here is how to correct a stitch that has fallen off the needle, or even how to deliberately drop a stitch (and fix it) to correct a mistake.

  • When you dropped all those stiches, my heart stopped beating and my mouth fell open!

    (from a Beginner Knitter) =P

  • @ChunXiaQiuDong8 Funny you should say that! I was just demonstrating this technique to a class (in person), and I could hear the GASPS from the students as I dropped that stitch a few rows. But it all turns out okay! Not so scary.

  • This is amazing and looks so easy.

    Thank you

  • When I first started, I would cry while unraveling all my work...wish youtube was this handy back then

  • consider my mind blown. thank you so much!

also, that tip about the right leg always being in front gives me a lot more confidence in my knitting now. such a tiny little thing that makes all the difference - like when my knitter friend told me that purl stitches look like they are wearing scarves and knits are little fox faces (V's)... no more getting lost mid-row!

learning 'obvious' things that the self-taught don't often think about makes me really happy. thanks for your excellent videos!

  • you are an awesome teacher. I love your videos. No more ripping my yarn back to the beginning!!

  • I am so delighted that I found your channel! I'm an advanced beginner knitter and watching your videos have given me so much confidence. Many thanks! You're a brilliant teacher.

  • I totally agree with the other comments: of all the knitting videos I've come across, yours are the most professional and easy to understand. Thanks for posting these!

  • Cant tell you enough just how amazing your videos are. Im a begineer and have knit my first sock all thanks to your videos and now can correct mistakes also thanks to you. Do you have a book? If not you should write one, it would be a best seller I would think.
