@KingsCoffeeCo You can still ride it - but to do do you will have to go all the way to Calcutta! An identical copy was built there (also called Cyclone) and was opened a few years before the demise of the Southport ride. Ironically the Calcutta ride was constructed with the help of The Blackpool Pleasure Company - they who decided that Southport's Cyclone was doomed!

@ggtontoyono No; only angled upwards! The apparent sideways curve is merely an illusion caused by camera lens aberration.

The Cyclone at Pleasureland was brilliant. You are sadly missed. :(

I did manage to get on this, and it was in need of a bit of oil even then. Just shows that the maintenance was zero in the last couple of weeks..even the tracks have a hint of rust.

R.I.P CYCLONE. At least I have a piece of yo on my shelf, (after demoliton). Miss the kinky lift, well, and the whole ride really :(
-
wtf the lift is NOT straight xD
-
lol the lift looks bad its twisting sideways but you don't seem to notice it on the ride and the corners don't seem so slow on the ride lol , i cant believe they demolished it
-
