He's absolutely right. Do you really think the wealthy, upwardly-mobile people Bloomberg loves so much are going to move in to the area if they build luxury condos there? It's directly under the approach path of jets landing at LaGuardia and right next to that giant stinking puddle known as Flushing Bay, which smells to high heaven at low tide despite decades of cleanup efforts. The only housing you could build there would be slums.

sad how these business owners pay taxes but receive no help from the city because they just want to kick them to the curb and the city even has the right to kick them out of there if they want to and then give it to the rich to fix. Eminent domain is right

who wants to stay in a hotel in the ass end of queens come on Mayor Bloomberg wake up nobody wants to be here for a buisness meeting or whatever the purpose of the buildings that you feel like putting up. Manhattan is the tourist attraction not willets point queens or citi field. put up apartment buildings for people and stop over developing the rest of queens
Excellent video. I've noticed maybe three or so remaining old homes along the LIRR in Willets Point, is that where Mr. Ardizzone lives?

He actually lives above a restaurant in the heart of the autobodies and junkyards. He rents out the restaurant which, if you looked close, maybe you could see from the 7 train...
