I don't have any problem with punishing people who committ espionage, but maybe we need to pass laws which will allow people who committ espionage to be acquitted of all crimes if the espionage they committ shows that government is abusing its authority.

The British Courts just like the UK Government are under command from the EU. Assange is very much screwed unless he wins at the European Court of Human Rights, just hope that's not rigged neither, although I'll even treat them with great scepticism.

No. This is one of the myths that his supporters keep spreading. There are four charges in the EAW - unlawful sexual coersion (pinning a woman and trying to pry her legs open down to try to force unprotected sex that she didn't want), 2x molestation against the same woman, and 1x rape against a different woman (that is, after she spent all evening telling him no to unprotected sex, he waited until she fell asleep so he could start f*ing her unprotected.
Which is rape in any first-world nation.

America has had very many troops in Australia in WW2 and had somewhat of an advisor position until the deployment. government newspapers rarely convey the thought of the people. Most of it usually comes down to what the government likes. There's a reason we call June 4th May 35th and Chen Guangcheng is censored on Baidu the term "blind man" was also censored. All we see is a long time ally moving to support another. There's nothing wrong with that in my eyes.

Well at least you managed to redeem a scrap of dignity by removing those comments. Out of curiosity was that just you speaking before you think?
