Hi campergrrl. Thank you. Yes. White women can have Sisterlocks, although I don't know of any who have done it. It's not the race...it's the hair and all hair textures will eventually locks if you keep it in an environment that will allow it to. Thanks for posting and have a great hair day.

@Heaven767 You go to a certified Consultant or Trainee to do your locs, as far as I know. There are classes to learn to how lock your hair, but even then I think its best to let someone whose been doing it longer deal with it in the inital stages.

I LOVE this hair style. I am 6 months into my sister locks, i can't wait until I can do something like that. I do have a question about hair maintenance and conditioning. I currently don't do anything to my hair except get it re tightened every 4 to 6 weeks. I sleep on a satin pillow case should i be wrapping my hair? What styles can i do with my hair so short?
