Jay Cormier & the Cajun Country Band performing some wonderful Cajun music.
Jamey Bearb (drums) sounds great on the vocal in this tune.
The title is, "The OST Special."
Most of the Cajun music is still sung in French, but it's Cajun french.

Mulate's has it all with music, dancing and food. You can't allow yourself to miss this fun place if you go anywhere near Lafayette, LA.

  • Is that Jamie on the drums?

  • @timcomeau

    I'm clueless. Sorry.

  • @tdub1941 sounds like Jamie Bearb singing and playing drums?

  • @timcomeau

Yep, now that I think about it, I remember that on one of these other videos I got from that night someone had commented that it was Jamie (in the comments below the video).

  • Thanks- I only mention it because 'wannabrewju' may be local to me. It's funny how Manchester UK has a lot of musicians who like Cajun (-as well as Roots, Blues, Country, Jazz, Rock, Indy etc etc) -locals The Ragin' Cajuns started a scene here 15-20 years ago, and that influenced a lot of us.

  • Yup, That good old Cajun music as found enthusiasts an many parts of the world. Even right here in Kansas City, Missouri!

    Thanks for watching!

  • Mulate's is a great place to dance, a real treat that we expereinced while at the Crawfish Festival in 2011.

  • Chank a Chank and Yeha from Alberta 1996

  • get it baw !!! I used to Drive Buses for UL and on Friday nights we would take Elder Hostell groups there ..... Geaux Cajuns !!!!!!

  • Love this! Thanks for keeping Louisiana's music in our heart and soul!

  • YEEEEEEEAHAAAAAW kick that shit

  • I'm from rural western Canada and we dance like this all my life. When we were in Mulates etc in New Orleans, they were surprised we danced the same. We call it 'old time dancing'.We are not French-Cdn,Cajun or Acadian. I guess we just all like to dance thank goodness:) Brings people together. I can't stand having music at a dance and everyone just sits there and stares at one another-how boring.
