As thousands of drivers prepare to travel during the holidays, one place to be really careful is Ranger Hill, about 80 miles west of downtown Fort Worth on Interstate 20. Eight people have died there this year. Some residents of the rural area have banded together to do something about it. First, they persuaded the Texas Department of Transportation to lower the 75 mph speed limit to 65 mph - effective immediately. But they also have some longer-term plans for the treacherous Ranger Hill. Transportation reporter Gordon Dickson took a road trip out to the area to check out the danger for himself. (Video and editing by Gordon Dickson/Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Nov. 24, 2013.)
