LIPSTICK SERVICE 21st-25th Sept 2010

LA-DI-DA are a group of young, risk-taking theatre creators from Ballymun, originating from the local youth theatre (Performance Lab and RYT). Now we're ready to do things our way. The Regeneration has raised issues that are very close to our Community and we're using these to break the mould and smash stereotypical views. Touring around a Dublin Prison, and interviewing prisoners probably wouldn't appeal to everyone! But that's... what we're getting down and dirty with. Exploring the harsh, cold truth that hides behind our prison system. Airing dirty laundry and really getting stuck in!
LIPSTICK SERVICE is a day in the life of Natasha, Chrisso, And Faith, 3 girls close to our own age. By looking at these women's lives in prison, it questions our own lives on the "outside", making you think does prison do what it says on the tin?
