Peter Jackson's hilarious horror-comedy cult flick "Dead Alive" (aka "Braindead") mashes up elements from all genres to create one of the most enjoyable freakiest zombie movies. If your mom was hell while alive, just wait what happens when she's an undead...
A young man's mother is bitten by a Sumatran rat-monkey. She gets sick and dies, at which time she comes back to life, killing and eating dogs, nurses, friends, and neighbors.

@bulletformygizmo Yes, this is Braindead. However, a lot of the gorier scenes were cut out of the American version, and they decided to call that version Dead Alive.

this was filmed in Wellington NZ, where I live. it's funny going past on the bus and seeing that house still up on the hill.
