A larger than expected crowd showed up to express their sentiment on the Freshwater issue at the Mount Vernon school board meeting of August 4th 2008. (I'm uploading most of the comments made during the public participation portion of the meeting.)

@remembersodom I agree, maybe then the rest of our children can learn science without religious groups trying to indoctrinate them. Religion does not belong in our public schools.

Anytime you Evangelicals call yourselves a dwindling group and a victimized class remember the overwhelming applause of this crowd. You're not a minority and you're not silent. Stop claiming otherwise.

i feel that if you would like your children to learn about the church there are privet schools you can enroll them in i feel that church should not be in public schools we have to keep in mind here that everyone in public schools aren't christians and such things should be kept in schools built for christians or church

I would highly urge all Christian families to pull your children out of public school. It's beyond reform! Train up your child in the way he should go.
