This is the last of our corn this year. We are running a Gleaner K with a 330 corn head in about 130 bu/acre corn. Running in the lower part of second gear.

Yes, it does look weird with the 3 row head on it and it is really light in the ass end. I drove one before, just to drive it back to the farm.
But hey it does the job

On our hills even my 12 foot grain head makes my K nose dive. I have been on slopes so steep that I have slid sideways! I fear the corn head in the mud

How wide of a grain head do you use with that. We have a Gleaner K with the same goofy 3 row 330 head; does it make yours really light in the back, in reverse, ours will easilly pull wheelies due to the weight of the head; it's really rather dangersous.

We have a 3 row 330 head too. To solve the wheelie issue, I filled the rear tires with fluid. They are also bar tread tires that are slightly larger than stock. The bar treads are nice in mud and add allow for extra fluid to be put in.

wow, that corn field is so long it took you from dark to daylight, just to get to the end of it! LOL Do you have problems with corn cobs plunging up the straw walkers?
dmbfan1912 3 years ago
Ah, the plugging straw walker problem. What will help the most is to move the walkers all the way back. To really solve the cob issue, you will need to buy the screens.

Good vid. I remember when we used to have one of those. Dad had a K then a G then a L2 and know we farm enough acres we have two Gleaners N7 and a R70. Where do you farm?
