My Harvest America Out Of Business - Declares Chapter 7 Bankruptcy - Fred Weih and Ron Ellis

My Harvest America was a network marketing company started by Fred Weih and Ron Ellis on 12/25/2011. They announced filing for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy 5/28/2011.

My Harvest America started off as an online, discount grocery business with a 3x8 forced matrix compensation plan.

Early on it experienced trouble delivering its groceries in a timely manner.
They claimed this was due to their supplier not shipping groceries quick enough.

Distributors gave them the benefit of the doubt.

At one point, after waiting 6 weeks to have groceries delivered, My Harvest America announced they were cancelling everyone's orders, would not issue any refunds because commissions had been paid during the months everyone was waiting for groceries, and that they would resume grocery deliveries within 2 weeks.

I had been actively promoting My Harvest America up until this point, believing MHA would get its act together, but this announcement caused me to stop promoting MHA and to instead look for something else.

Many distributors were so disappointed by this news, many of those who continued to prompte MHA didn't bother to order groceries again. Those who did, continued to experience delays, and when they did receive their groceries, many times boxes were damaged and the contents were sometimes destroyed.

After a couple more months, MHA announced they were leaving the grocery business and would instead begin selling pre-paid debit cards issued by Wells Fargo in various dollar amounts. The largest debit card amount you could purchase was for $300, and cost $225.

I never promoted this new "product" for a number of reasons. Number one, I believed this was essentially selling money via network marketing. You were buying $300 for $225.

Where did the extra $75 come from?

It didn't come from Wells Fargo.
It didn't come from the money fairy.

I believed it was a Ponzi scheme and I wanted nothing to do with it.

Beyond that, MHA now had a track record of not delivering product. If they could cancel everyone's grocery orders and not issue refunds, why couldn't they do the same thing with these pre-paid credit cards?

There was a 4 -- 6 week delay to receive one's card. That meant, if MHA closed its doors, they would have collected upfront payments for the debit cards for 4 -- 6 weeks before closing down, and it stood to reason that no one would receive any refunds, since no one received refunds when they cancelled their grocery business.

The announcement they have posted on MyHarvestAmerica.com is indicative of their denial of responsibility.

I feel bad for anyone who was taken by Fred Weih and Ron Ellis' My Harvest America. What distributors need to realize is, there is no such thing as a free lunch. You can't expect to pay $225 and get $300 and have that continue. It can't. The laws of business dictate, if a business pays out more than it's taking in, it's going to go out of business. It's pretty basic.

People get involved in network marketing out of belief in the product, the company and the need to generate money. When a company like My Harvest America declares Chapter 7 Bankruptcy it puts a black eye on the entire industry.

When you market a network marketing company, the company is leveraging your reputation and your relationships to market their business. If they go under, it's your reputation that takes even more of a hit than the owners of the company.

So if you were a distributor with My Harvest America, what do you do now?
If you want to continue generating income in network marketing, you need to find another company to market.

One that is not going to go out of business holding your commission. One that pays you instantly. One that pays you a meaningful amount upfront and every month, over and over again, for the same subscribers you already referred. One that rewards you for your efforts with unlimited earnings potential.

If you'd like to learn more about a company that offers all of these attributes, please call me at (702) 340-0799.

Remember:
-- Your reputation is worth more than money.
-- Time is the one thing you can't buy more of.

I look forward to sharing the valuable information I have with you so you don't find yourself in this situation again.

Thank you and God bless.
:) Joe
