I've been there and it is fantastic! S. c. hunters with guns are cowards, Romanians don't need guns to protect their livelyhood. Something for wolf-fearing Swedes (!) and gun- toting Americans to think about.

There are about 200 wolves in Sweden and the big boys with guns are so scared they want to exterminate them all. Compare that to Transylvania - a much smaller area with about 3000 wolves and plenty of bears and all those thousands sheep to watch! AND NO GUNS!!!

@roadsidepicnics No guns or hunters in Romania???Use the internet and do some research for 10 minutes and it will tell you different. Far from extermiating the wolf ,Sweden plan to introduce new blood into thier wolf population from other parts of Europe so again you're wrong there aswell.

They can't own guns, like the rest of europe they have already forgotten that without arms you are destin to be ruled either by a bear or Hitler, You would think they would have learned that lesson. The romanian area of Transilvania is such a beautiful place that it's hard to bealive untill you see it with your own eyes.It's like a magic place from a fairy tale, with gorgeous nature and wildlife that gives you shudders...

that's just the tradition in some parts or areas in romania the farmers r wearing this kind of hat...there r many kinds of hat's i mean traditional hats...only the farmers in small villages r wearing the traditional clothes and hats like this one...

unfornately, I have lived this nightmare. Sure, it is advertised that payment will be made IF (a) you get to the animal before it decomposes to much. In our area, cattle are sometimes on land 20 or more miles away, and they are not checked everyday. (2.) these funds tend to run out of money. This has also happened.  I am not against the wildlife, just for the guy trying to make a living. Get rid of the problem bears and wolves, leave the rest alone.
