It was a pretty hard work and I needed some practice, but then I got it.
It was important for me to play this outstanding piece as near to the original as possible (although I played it a bit slow; I'm sorry for that), 'cause it's one of my all time favorites. I can listen again and again to this wonderful theme. Mr. Hisaishi himself also played this at the piano (for example on his CD Encore).

(Played by me on a Kawai MP4. Sound is a sampled Steinway grand piano from SampleTekk.)

  • I see this is from 2010, did you use synthogy ivory here? thanks and congratulations, it sounds amazing.

  • @NachoVPMusic

no, lol, I used the same piano sample as ever, the Sampletekk Black Grand Steinway B. I've just another digital piano in the meantime (with real wooden and more heavy-weighted keys) ;)

  • What are you playing at 1:27 on the left hand. the sheet music for me makes it sound bad and i can see you are playing it slightly differently. I'm really getting close to learning the whole thing all i have left is meshing the hands together and just gotta learn that last part after the coda.

  • @djrea4815

hmm, did I play something different there? Ok, I'll check it out, lol...sometimes I just improvise without realizing it really, hahaha...:)

  • Is this in C major or Db major?

Lovely work, by the way. Wonderful.

  • @Zeldaforeva

this is the Db major version, 'cause I really prefer how it sounds in this key signature ;) And it's the original key.

  • great work, sounds fantastic, one of my all-time favorite songs

  • tutorial plz :) or midi and music sheet plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • You wrote this was a challenging piece. My friend who also has dedicated much of her life into piano and music claims that a lot of pieces from the Princess Mononoke are a little hard; she said that the hardest for her is the one you're playing and "Legend/tale of Ashitaka"

If you don't mind me asking, do you agree?

  • Where can I find this sheet pls? :(

  • can you send me the sheet..

  • nice work :] by the way what is this keyboard called? it sounds really nice. can you suggest any keyboards to me :]

  • this make me flying
