In a roundtable discussion, host Ray Suarez interviews author Reza Aslan (No god But God; How to Win a Cosmic War) and Dalia Mogahed, Executive Director of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies and co-author of the groundbreaking book Who Speaks for Islam?: What a Billion Muslims Really Think. This program draws upon Ms. Mogahed's book and reveals major findings of the unprecedented Gallup World Poll, which represents the views of more than 90% of the worlds Muslim population, making it the largest and most comprehensive ongoing study of contemporary Muslims being conducted. The results are fascinating, and often counterintuitive. This Link TV original program will address the questions many are pondering: Why is the Muslim world so anti-American? Who are the extremists? Is democracy something Muslims really want? What do Muslim women want?

Let's see - let us do some math. Two people on TV, giving only their opinion and talking about some poll (we know those are always stellar), no filmed interviews, pictures, no statements, no Qu'ran quotes, nothing from these "peace clergy", and ONE book that one of them wrote - just talk. OR Thousands dead over the last decade in attacks/ bombings, 3+ known international Islam-terror groups, dozens of video's, books, and statements, 109 Quran quotes in evidence to Islamic based violence. Math

Too much apologeticism, reliance on surveys of Muslims who have lived under secular nationalist systems where the education systems have taught Islam in the Western mould, and and attempt to explain Islam away as a religion rather than a way of life. Does not help the debate or discussion - I don't know who selected such characters to speak about Islam and Muslims.

@randalcoon DiGa: I think we are close to each other's view points than we realize. AS I said before, too much abuse of nudity and sex, both male AND female are used by "Hollywood." However, I would not feel that my wife is my equal if I am dressed in slacks and a shirt, and she is not allowed to appear publicly the same way. or in a modest dress. Her hair was "given to her as a covering." It is also "her Glory.' Why should she hide that? Would that make someone lust after her? He has problem.

@randalcoon You are right, still the naked woman is not intended to make you purchase the wrench but draw your attention to wrench.. most Muslims -myself included- consider that an "abuse of the feminine body" which rather deserves respect

@DutchPetriot Do you not believe that the Messiah is the Son of God, or Allah? When you say "nuff said", that is only true is you accept the truth and validity of the words you have quoted from the quran.

I am a straight, Christian, man, AND: I do not believe that it takes a naked woman to sell a wrench in the USA. A slinky woman on an ad would not cause me to make a decision on a wrench purchase;I prefer an expert on the tool. But I do agree there should be less nudity, or lasciviousness in TV shows and movies. That is blamded on the USA, but those films are made world wide. Wish I had more space--had to cut out most of my comment.

I quote the quran: - ''"And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!" -
"I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them'' - Well, there are 109 similar verses in the quran like these people. Nuff said.

09.30 Yeah right... maybe not in the first 150 years. But after that islam never stopped killing infidels untill the christian germanic Franks kicked there buts at Portiers. This is one big lie people post muhammed Islam writings are definitely killing infidels hardcore to the bone. The Islam has 109 verses directly call to war on nonbelievers FACT where as the new testament of christianity have no violent verses whatsoever. Islam is a religion of compassion... towards muslims.
