@KaRineLynn Just as replied to the other sufferer below, just read the 30 pages of user reviews on Amazon of the book "Breaking the vicious cycle". Don't take my own word on it. The diet is actually online for free, no reason to purchase anything.

@fredguy2 If antibiotics were the starter of the problem, then the SCD diet will help you. I has for me. Just read the 30 pages of user reviews on Amazon of the book "Breaking the vicious cycle". It has changed my life.

@KaRineLynn I am still in pain but I have been taking a probiotic called tuzen for almost a month I have notice maybe a minor improvement but I am still in the same boat. How about you when did your ibs start?

@fredguy2 How are you feeling now ? I am dealing with the same thing and Im at a point where I don't know what to do anymore..
vitamin B12 and zinc deficiencies causes low stomach acid... IBS sufferers should get their vitamin B12, zinc, and also magnesium checked up. (magnesium deficiency = constipation)! Take a probiotics supplement, vitamin B-complex supplement, zinc supplement, and a magnesium supplement (if you're low in these nutrients).

@favoritesmoothies Thanks for your comment. Neither B12 or zinc cause low stomach acid. However, if one has low stomach acid, and many people do given the lifestyle and being overmedicated, leads to specifically B12 malabsorption. Also, magnesium can certainly help move the digestive tract, but its deficiency does not necessarily equate to constipation. Lastly, you are correct in that those are some of the more common deficiencies.

@DrSchwartzman thanks for that info! I appreciate it - I'm starting to get into nutrition/health... Sorry, one more question, what do you think about the "pHion Complete Digestive Enzyme" supplement or other similar digestive lactose supplements? Thank you.

@favoritesmoothies Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the product you mentioned. You may look at the "Lactase Drops" found on Healthegoods[dot]com... I do not have direct clinical experience with them, but have seen positive reviews.
