I don't get why people would say it's an 18. It's hard as fuck yes, but not 18 worthy. Just look at We Fucking Hate You. I would say it's leagues harder than this chart. The last 30% of WFHY is just endless runs at 220 filled with 24th and 32nd drills. Nothing in this chart has anything that hard.

@xynnselect There is no standard for 18s yet. WFHY is clearly way harder than any 17, enough so to be an 18, but that doesn't make it the absolute bottom of 18s. This chart is harder than any other pad 17 ever passed on foot. Saying something isn't an 18 because its easy than WFHY is like saying something isn't a 17 because its easier than scatman, or isn't a 16 because its easier than Vertex Beta. This might not be an 18, but if not its close.

Would this be the first 17 that has earned the rating almost purely for the stamina requirement rather than a high footspeed requisite? I mean, granted, the 24ths and 32nds in this are extremely fast, but I look at this, and what strikes me is that I can't think of anything really comparable in terms of raw stamina.

@ArchiVeflax If its a 17 then yes. Paul thinks it might be an 18 and I'm not sure I disagree with him.

@Sigatrev I understand your point. Arvin had made the same one when I discussed it with him. But the way I see it, the difficulty gap between this and WFHY is pretty huge. Like, judging by this video I would guess that I could 96-97 this song index on SM. Where as with WFHY I can just barely break 80 on it playing spread, and not even get close to a pass index. So based on the gap in difficulty between songs, if this is an 18, WFHY would be pushed to the 19 block range. Just my opinion though

@Sigatrev I can see the case for that, but I think it's difficult without more extant 17s that aren't footspeed-driven to really make that call. This is definitely harder than a solid stamina-16 like Beta, but there's just nothing else in the 17-footer range that you can really compare this chart to.

Course, rating is all subjective anyway. I just think this would be an interesting direction for some new charts to explore.
