One major flaw of neoclassical economic theory? The belief that the market will instrinsicly correct itself because at heart, investors are "decent people" who will always do the right thing.

Seems to me that heads in the CFTC should roll...

If I EVER meet an oil speculator, they're going to have A VERY BAD DAY!
-
What more can you say...
The increased cost of oil and gasoline is damaging the American economy and is causing severe economic pain to millions of people, especially in rural America, who often have to drive long distances to work. Many workers are already seeing stagnant or declining wages and high gas prices are just taking another bite out of their paychecks.
The Great Depression of 2008 to 2012+++ Not a recession!

Thank God for this senator.

And the Wall Street Speculators will continue to rip off the American people as long as Congress and the President let them, which seems to be the case and will continue to be the case. What I want to hear is that every day a few more of those bastards are going to jail and the American people can finally see what justice really is. I don't believe there is true justice in America and there hasn't been for many, many years. Now back to the movie I was watching called "Congress Gone Wild."

@mistermassive1 Do you really believe that anyone who disagrees with a democratic bureaucrat , must therefore support republican bureaucrats? I don't want any of these morons interfering in my, or your, or anyone else's business. Bernie Sanders, has no more common sense (there's no such thing by the way) than any other bureaucrat.
Cap&Trade is a program to raise the cost of traditional energy sources, to try and force people to use alternative energy. What exactly is sensible about that?
Here an interesting fact!
The theory behind the setting of oil prices is that price is determined by the fundamentals of supply and demand. The fact of the matter is that there is more supply and less demand today than there was two years ago when gas prices averaged about $2.44 a gallon.

The USA ,No,The world needs more men like Senator Sanders. This man has what it takes to get us as a nation back on track.A great deal of the problems we face today is the direct result of the fact that the US is a greed based society.I do not know where to begin when it comes to fixing America but I know that with ppl like Senator Sanders involved it can happen.
