JobCannon - Importing Custom Job Search via RSS

You may have already used the Research Jobs feature in JobCannon to generate custom job searches from Indeed.com and Simplyhired.com, but what I will be showing you in this training is how to add job alert searches from other sites such as Monster or Craigslist using the RSS feed option.

First, in JobCannon go to My Job Alerts and then choose Import Job Feed from the submenu.

Next, go create a job search on the search site of your choice. Next, when you have generated a search that you would like to save to JobCannon locate the RSS feed icon on the page and click on it. Now, you need to capture the address for the RSS feed and you will find that in your browser.

Highlight the address and copy it to the clipboard. Now, go back to JobCannon and in the Import Job Feed text box paste the RSS feed address into the text window. Click Add.

Now we know how to add custom job alerts via RSS feed and when you come back to JobCannon you can simply click on My Job Alerts and see all of your saved job searches in one place.
