Maybe try looking at the Internet Movie Database, it might say something there but I don't guarantee it. I don't think MGM never let any credentials for stage pianists get on the movie.
Thanks for your reply . I have recognized the very first pianist who is EARL HINES and I have checked that this is correct but no luck for the others I am afraid Necer any credits to most black musicians !!!!
Eleanor Powell was the first MGM dancing star. MGM was about to declare bankruptcy in 1935. then The Broadway Melody of 1936 was released (staring Eleanor Powell). the movie pulled MGM out of the turmoil, becouse the public loved her. So she saved MGM studios
after finishing the filming of Thats Entertainment 1, MGM Studios invited Eleanor Powell and the rest of the MGM actors to come to the red carpet event of the movie. Eleanor Powell was so worrierd that people would have forgotten her she did not come. But the next night she came to the theater, and told the head who she was, and the theater owner gladly re-showed the movie for her. after Thats Entertainment 1 it started a whole new wave of Eleanor Powell fans.
